HEALTH INSURANCE OPTIONS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
International students are NOT automatically entitled to receive financial aid or assistance in paying medical bills incurred due to treatment of injury or illnesses while in the USA. Knox College strongly advises all international students to carefully consider the financial consequences of not purchasing health insurance in the event of an injury or illness.
International students can view several insurance coverage alternatives on the website www.ISOA.org . If you need assistance navigating this website, please contact the Knox College Office of International Student Services.
Knox College does not purchase or provide insurance coverage for illnesses or diseases, including COVID. Knox College students are strongly encouraged to secure their own health insurance coverage to help pay for unexpected medical expenses that could be required due to illnesses or diseases. Students should check to see if coverage under their parent's insurance plan is available. Knox College does not endorse, require, approve or recommend any particular individual health insurance plan. Students are encouraged to explore various programs to find the best plan that fits their needs and financial circumstances. Students are responsible for contacting and enrolling directly with the insurance company of their choice to obtain coverage.
